Background History
There is a huge global economical/social imbalances between the rich and poor nations, and between social/racial groups within a nation. The later creates tensions between the social/racial groups that can terribly affect human understanding of worth and existence. The later can clearly be seen in the case of post-apartheid South Africa. Where only 15% of the population owns and controls national resources and 50% of the population live in absolute Poverty. Yet the nation is one of the most developed nations in the world today.
For a peaceful and vibrant co-existence of these economic groups ever, a global call to bridge these imbalances seems quite eminent.
It is to this call that in 2006, The Mother Earth Foundation (MEF) was born.
Mission Statement.
To Research, identify and deliver, Projects that empowers people living in poverty, with necessary Skills/Knowledge required to generate a balanced, socially vibrant, and economically productive community for a better tomorrow, through collaborative voluntary efforts of the society as a whole.
